There’s a big day looming in your future! You’ve made a commitment to each other and now you’re ready to get married. Your search for some answers and someone who can perform your ceremony has brought you to my site.

Welcome!

who am i?

That's a great question!

Lynda and I still goof around after 30+ years. Even if the photographer thought we should get serious!

It seems a little odd to be writing ‘about me’ when the focus of what I do is all about you! It’s your wedding day and I want it to be everything you’ve hoped for. Of course, knowing a little bit about me will help when it comes to making it all about you.

Through my involvement with Toastmasters International, I have worked to develop a comfortable presentation style that will in no way take the focus from you. Listening is a key skill emphasized by Toastmasters and it’s a skill that can be a key to understanding what you are looking for in a ceremony.

Being a marriage commissioner has been a personal goal for a number of years. The Province of Alberta appoints a certain number of marriage commissioners within a community based on demand. I had to wait for a while, but when an opening finally materialized, I submitted my application. The interview process, including conducting a sample wedding ceremony, was both challenging and fun. The phone call a few weeks later confirming my appointment was a thrill to receive.

Now I want to dedicate myself to helping you create the ceremony you envision.

My wife, Lynda, and I tied the knot more than 40 years ago in a ceremony of our choosing with vows we wrote for each other. To this day it remains a special memory for each of us. Ensuring such an experience for you is my goal in serving as your marriage commissioner.

I believe it is vital that your wedding ceremony conforms to your wishes and reflects the tone that you desire. From solemn to casual, we will work together to ensure it is a heartfelt ceremony that you will cherish forever.
